The cover’s painted texture feels almost like a tiny canvas, and mine has a swirl pattern I've never seen on any store shelf. The 103 gsm pages take fountain pen ink beautifully without ghosting, which is a rare find in this size.
The wire binding opens flat without me having to press down, which is huge for a lefty like me. And knowing the cover is hand-painted makes it feel more like a little piece of art than just a notebook. The 103 gsm paper handles my fountain pen without bleed-through, which was a pleasant surprise.
