Got this as a "second" and honestly can't spot the flaw—the paper handles ink beautifully without bleeding through, and the cover paint has a lovely handmade texture. Feels like a lucky find for a daily journal.
Got mine and honestly can't tell what the flaw was supposed to be — the cover painting is gorgeous and the ruled pages are smooth. It's my new everyday carry for work notes, and the A5 size fits perfectly in my bag.
The paper quality is solid and the ruling lines are crisp, which surprised me for a second-quality pick. Only tiny flaw is a smudge near the back cover, but it's barely noticeable and doesn't affect daily use.
