The wire binding lays completely flat when I scribble in it, which is rare for a journal. You can tell the cover was pressed on old equipment because the foil detail has that slightly imperfect, handmade charm.
The cover on mine has this deep marbled swirl pattern that I keep catching myself staring at during meetings—the foil stamping catches the light in a way photos don't capture. It's clearly a hand-finished piece, and the wire binding holds up fine so far.
